Welcome to the Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel located in the centre of Katoomba, only a 2 minutes walk from the Katoomba railway station. As you exit turn right and you will see the building at the roundabout which is the main entrance to the town.
The Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel provides all groups with the best value Accommodation in the Blue Mountains.
We can accommodate groups of all kinds up to a total number of 150 people.
Group bookings made for a Sunday to Thursday will attract a 20% discount to our standard rates that are listed on our website. If the group requires accommodation that includes Friday and Saturday nights then our standard rates do apply.
If the group requires accommodation that spans over Friday and Saturday plus other days of the week then special discounts apply.
e.g. let’s say the group requires the following:
Thursday,
Friday,
Saturday,
Sunday
We would then provide Thursday free, and charge the standard rate for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We are negotiable depending on the nature of the group and the length of stay.
If any other hostel in the Blue Mountains claims to be better or cheaper than us, and then show us their quote and we will provide you a comparison of facilities and to prove to you that we provide an excellent facility at the best price in the Blue Mountains.
Our Facilities
The Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel offers a comprehensive range of facilities which makes our hostel just like a big home. Our facilities include the following:
- Ensuite and non ensuite Dorms 4 – 12 Beds.
- Dorms which are adaptable to family rooms.
- Ensuite and non Ensuite Double and Triple rooms.
- All rooms are heated.
- Massive dining and lounge/games room area seating approximately 80 people.
- Outdoor seating/ smoking area seating approximately 35 people. Includes free BBQ facilities.
- Outdoor Balcony/ smoking area seating approximately 35 people.
- 24 hour electronic secure key card access. Provides maximum security.
- 24 hour on site Manager.
- Reception 8.30am to 9pm. 7 Days.
- Disabled friendly.
- Lockers with draws, mirrors, hangers for each bed.
- Information desk and tour booking service.
- Free Internet access.
- Large plasma T.V. in dining room for fox and Setanta Sports.
- On site and on road parking for cars and buses.
- Enormous kitchen with 6 ovens and 24 Gas burners, with microwaves, toasters, 10 enormous glass front fridges. Pots, pans, crockery and utensils catering for 150 people. Plus plenty of bench and preparation area’s.
- Free Laundry and drying.
- Free luggage storage.
- Beds/bunks with safety rail for children.
- All linen, doona’s, sheets etc are provided free of charge.

You can self cater with our kitchen facilities or we can arrange it for you. Please let us know your requirement.

We will provide free cleaning facilities for the group which includes the cleaning of crockery, cutlery and cleaning of the dining area.
Meeting/Room
Our dining area is adaptable as a meeting room. Just let us know your needs if you require us to partially close it of for the group.
There is no additionally cost for the exclusive use of common areas.
Tours
We can co-ordinate all your tours in the Blue Mountains and negotiate a special group discount. Please let us know your requirements.
